Brass Bed Restoration Process

Step 1:
The bed is stripped to remove all old lacquer, oil, and dirt.

Step 2:
The bed is then completely disassembled, damaged parts are repaired or replaced.

Step 3:
Every piece is hand polished in a 3 step polishing operation.

Step 4:
The bed is reassembled with new steel parts as needed inside the brass.

Step 5:
After the bed is reassembled it is completely hand polished to remove all handling marks.

Step 6:
The final step is to lacquer the bed with a special anti-tarnish lacquer to preserve the finish.
